Terms of Use

Conditions for using this portfolio and shop

This page explains the rules that apply when you browse the studio portfolio, join a workshop, or purchase a one-off piece. Please read it before placing an order or registering for a class.

1. What this site offers

Li Jun Liang is an independent ceramic studio. The website displays a portfolio of sculptural vessels, functional tableware, and installation work. It also lists upcoming beginner hand-building workshops held in the Pretoria area and offers a small shop with one-off mugs, bowls, and vases.

All pieces are made by hand, so each item may vary slightly in size, glaze tone, and surface texture. These variations are part of the work and are not considered defects.

2. Your responsibilities

When you use this site, you agree to provide accurate information for workshop bookings or purchases. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any account details and for all activity that happens under your account.

You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute photographs, project descriptions, or process notes from this site without prior written permission.

3. Orders and workshop bookings

Each piece in the shop is a one-off. A piece is reserved only after payment is confirmed. If you need to cancel a workshop booking, please notify the studio at least 48 hours before the session to receive a credit toward a future class.

Workshop fees cover materials, kiln firing, and basic tools. Fired pieces are usually ready for collection three to four weeks after the session. You will be notified by email when your work is ready.

4. Liability and care

Ceramic pieces are fragile. The studio takes care in packaging, but once a piece is in your possession, you are responsible for handling it safely. We are not liable for damage caused by improper use, such as thermal shock from sudden temperature changes or impact from dropping.

Functional tableware is food-safe and dishwasher-safe unless stated otherwise on the product page. To preserve the surface, hand washing is recommended for pieces with unglazed exteriors or carved details.

5. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in studio practice, workshop schedules, or legal requirements. The current version will always be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after changes are published means you accept the revised terms.

6. Contact

For questions about these terms, an existing order, or a workshop booking, contact the studio at info@lijunliang.com or call 035-351-0310.
